\"\"\/Let\u2019s start with one of my favourites Green Eggs and Ham by Dr Seuss. There is only a total of 50 words in this book used over and over again, yet it has a great storyline and is full of fun.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Boys Rule<\/strong> and Girls Rock<\/strong>, written by Felice Arena, Phil Kettle and Shay Kettle respectively were also favourites with my children.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

The Pony Pals<\/strong> series by Jeanne Betancourt was a favourite with my daughter, whilst Zac Power – The Test Drive Series<\/strong> appealed to my boys.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

There are references to dyslexia in Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief<\/strong> written by Rick Riordan and My name is Brain<\/del> Brian<\/strong> again written by Jeanne Betancourt.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Books that appeal to struggling readers come in all shapes and sizes, but the one thing they all have in common is a good storyline and age appropriateness.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Giving bright children babyish books is never going to go down well.<\/span><\/p> \n\n
