Another Education Myth Busted

How fast can you teach a child to read and to get their confidence back?

1 Week? 1 Month? 3 Months? 6 Months? 1 Year?

I’m talking about the child who has lost motivation and is feeling dumb and stupid. (No?)

This child won’t pick up a book unless you blackmail them, offer them a major incentive or pay them to read.

You know this scenario. You know this child. Perhaps it is your child. Maybe it’s your student.

I’m Liz Dunoon and I hear stories like these every day.

So what is the solution?

  • A heartfelt chat with the classroom teacher.
  • A year of specialized literacy tutoring – with an hour before school or after school each week.
  • A brand new laptop so they can use it to do their schoolwork and use spell check.
  • Give up on learning English altogether, because this child’s father wasn’t good at reading either.
  • How about a school Ipad with some reading and spelling apps installed.

Or you could…

  • Cross your fingers and hope they’ll catch up next year.

My promise

If you have a child like this, I promise I can help them, and not only that… Turn them from unhappy to happy in weeks.

Sure you can!!!

I hear you say sceptically. Well, you’re right to be suspicious, because this won’t work for every child… But it works for most and maybe it will work for your child and then what?

Let me tell you a story

One of my first ever students was a 10-year-old boy. Let’s call him Peter. Peter was creative and a great problem solver. Sometimes he came up with the best ideas in the class and his classmates would copy them and call them their own. This made Peter really mad, but because he struggled socially, felt bullied and out of place, he wasn’t sure what to do. He was also dyslexic and this combination of angst saw him self-harming, refusing to go to school and spiraling down with mental health issues very rapidly. It was at this time of great need that his Mum, let’s call her Fiona, came across my method for helping children to learn to read and spell and catch up at school very quickly. Overjoyed, she joined the program and unbeknownst to me, her son blossomed. About ten weeks later I received an email from her thanking me profusely. Not only had her son become motivated to learn and to go to school every day, he now believed in himself and had been recorded as the student who had shown the greatest improvement in his region on the national standardised literacy testing that takes place in Years’ 3, 5, 7 and 9 here in Australia. I know for a fact that he went on to high school, is doing really well and was ever voted school captain.

So did I do it?

Well, I created the framework. A method that enables children to take control of their learning. Each session is ten minutes long and it is accessed using a computing device. Children do it a time that suits them.

BUT…

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink… so why would your child or student want to do this? One of the biggest most important components in this method is its ability to instill self-belief in the children who use it. That’s right… your child or student will get to learn, how they learn, what they find hard, what they find easy and how to use their newfound knowledge to shine at school and in life.

So…

If you would like to know more, join me on a webinar to learn more and understand how it works.

Here are some more children who enjoyed this method. Maybe your child will too. There is a 30-day money back guarantee. So give it a go! You have nothing to lose and a potential happy child to gain.

There is also new pricing for schools… with new schools joining every week. Teachers, watch the webinar to find out more.

Kind regards,

Liz Dunoon

HI Cindy, you can go to http://www.thetenminutetutor.com to find out the pricing for schools as it depends on numbers of students. Thanks for your question. Kind regards Liz Dunoon
