Will Smith

Will Smith has attributed his success over the years to two things: His inability to read and an ex-girlfriend, whom he thinks cheated on him because he couldn’t read and wasn’t good enough.

Whether that that was the reason for their split or something else altogether, Will vowed to himself that he would never be inadequate again.

Will has dyslexia, and before touching our lives with his amazing acting in movies, he once sat at a school desk and felt helpless because of his inability to understand the written word.

As his school years passed by, he stayed focused and decided to pursue a career in rapping rather than go to college.

Would he have been so successful if he had pursued another career rather than performing and acting? We may never know.

He made his first million at the early age of 20. No doubt he had now achieved his goal of never feeling of inadequate again.

His acting started in the early 90’s with “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, an American sitcom revolving around the fictional life of Will Smith himself. The show was a huge success and after 6 seasons, Will was on track to become one of the greatest movie stars of his generation.

With a showbiz career now spanning 30 years, Will has starred in over 20 blockbuster movies, raking in millions of dollars and has received of dozens of film and music awards and nominations.

His ability to memorize multiple scripts at the same time, using his incredible auditory memory is one of his dyslexic superpowers.

He works incredibly hard and loves to study patterns in life like a sociologist would, looking for the anomalies in life. Best of all he loves life and he loves laughing.

Off- Screen, Will is an advocate for personal development, growth and knowledge. His unbeatable work ethic, optimism and belief in self-improvement serve as an inspiration for all dyslexics to strive to achieve their personal goals, big or small.
